History

Food + Water + Shelter was founded in 2018 by Aaron and April Marvin.  They are the adoptive parents of two sons from Africa, Kamble from The Congo and Tiko from Malawi.  The process of adoption brought with it the realization of the depth of need in both countries.  Food, water, and shelter are the essentials in life and the essentials that are so sadly missing in Africa.  Early one morning a non profit was established as a fulfillment to a self promise to care and provide for children who are in so much need in Africa.

It is with intent that FWS supports work that is being done in Malawi in providing food to orphans through the Malawi non-profit, Warm Heart Ministries.  The feeding program provides formula to babies who are in the care of guardians due to the loss of their mothers.  The ultimate goal would be that each of the babies in the program would not only have formula but seed and fertilizer along with a home built for their care families too.

The desire is to support Warm Heart Ministries in the development of property to farm.  The animals and produce from this farm will go to market in the surrounding villages and the proceeds from these sales will be used to purchase formula, seed and fertilizer, and ultimately housing for those in the feeding program.

FWS also supports the education of children who live in the Dzlenka Refugee camp located in Malawi.  Sowing Hope School was established by an amazing man, John, who is a refugee from the Congo.  He has determined to give the people in the camp hope through education.  FWS has teamed with John and his efforts through monthly support of the teachers.  The teachers are all refugees who have persevered in doing all they can to not only improve their own lives but those around them as well.

Your support of Food + Water + Shelter will provide formula for orphans, seed, fertilizer, and a home for families, as well as teachers salaries in the camp.  100% of all donations go to the work being supported in Malawi.
